Accessibility statement

This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and so do the charts OSCharts makes.

How this site is checked

After every change and every night, an automated walk-through runs the axe-core WCAG 2.2 A and AA checks on every page at desktop width and at 320 pixels, checks there is no sideways scrolling on a phone, and checks the live chart on the home page by keyboard. The walk-through is in this site's source.

How the charts are checked

The charts are checked on the demo in the same way and more: keyboard readouts, print, forced colors, reflow and JavaScript off. The details are in docs/accessibility.md.

Known limits

The charts have not yet been tested with screen reader users. Automated checks can't tell how a chart feels to use.
